Tiny infobits, huge shockwaves

Reading

Reading about physics, biology, nanotechnology and AI is very refreshing. After 5 years spent concentrating on community building, blogs, IM and the WEB in general, I am taking my time to understand the big picture. So many things have changed in 5 years, and so many different fields are coming together. I feel there are opportunities ahead for those who understand the evolution of all these technologies.

My friends keep asking me: "what are you going to do next" and "what will you do with all that stuff you are reading"; I really do not know! How can I possibly know before I learn new stuff!

Where biology and economics meet

Ciao Marco,
if you're into expanding your reading horizons, you might also enjoy "The Origin of Wealth", by Eric Beinhocker. I have reviewed it here: http://livepaola.wordpress.com/2007/04/21/eric-d-beinhocker-the-origin-o...

On Intelligence

Marco,

after Ray Kurzweil's Singularity you should read 'On Intellingence' (http://www.onintelligence.org/) by Jeff Hawkins, the guy that created PalmPilot and the Treo. He put forward an engaging theoretical framework to understand intelligence based on the structure of the neocortex. Enjoy
