Yesterday I was invited at a dinner in San Francisco. The host is a very successful entrepreneur, who now spends most of his time finding money (millions) and setting the vision for the democratic party.
We had a great conversation about world politics, US politics, Italian politics (if it ever existed really :-) ), and compared our visions of the future.
His point is that the democratic party vision is based on a number of different "silos sub-visions" not integrated in a common framework (heath care, the environment, etc). The reality is that worldwide, not only in the US, there is no alternative vision to the one of the "right".
This article about China, is chilling and inspiring. It seems that growth is the only goal in China today, although it is not sustainable. China too, must look for a new vision of the future, and they have to find it fast, as should Europe and the US.
