I spent a few days configuring my new Acer Revo 3610. I installed Ubuntu 9.10, Boxee, UbuntuwinTV and Minitube (among other more mundane stuff).
I had to figure out how to fix the sound and the screen resolution, because I am using an HDMI cable to connect the Revo to the Samsung LCD TV.
I still have to:
- figure out how Wake On Lan works
- try one of those XBMC/Boxee remote controls that can be installed on iPhone/Android phones
- buy a USB DVT adapter so that I can also watch traditional TV channels (although I am not so sure I will watch them any way since I do not watch TV :-) ).
Now everything is working and it's great. I can see how home entertainment is going to change in the next few years when this kind of HW/SW is embedded in TV sets.
